SANGEE is an intimate musical encounter of Korean pianist Gee Hye Lee and German saxophonist Alexander Sandi Kuhn.

Despite their up-bringing in different cultures, the two long-time friends and musical soulmates share similar biographies. Both discovered their love for music, particularly for jazz, at a very young age. Both studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and at University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, both successfully lead their own bands and both were awarded with the prestigious Jazz prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg in consecutive years. Therefore, it is not surprising that they are almost living door-to-door in the beautiful south of Stuttgart in the meantime.

In their new project SANGEE, Gee Hye Lee and Alexander Sandi Kuhn draw on these common experiences and present a new program consisting of originals and arrangements, which takes into account the special requirements of this exciting duo setup and reflects their individual musical voices.
